My mind was spinning with ideas, yet I couldn’t see the wood for the trees. I had this big orange box full of strategies from all the courses and programmes I’d taken over the years. I would pull out a strategy and follow it step by step, but it always felt like I was trying to squeeze into something that wasn’t made for me. I had all the latest tips and tricks, yet they left me feeling disconnected.
It wasn’t that the strategies themselves were wrong. The issue was that I was forcing myself to follow a plan that didn’t match my energy. It felt like following a map that led me in circles instead of taking me where I needed to go. I had gathered so many great tools, methods and strategies, ones that worked brilliantly for others, but they weren’t clicking for me. Why? Because I wasn’t that person. I didn’t have their beliefs, their background or their internal energy. I wasn’t them. I needed to learn how to integrate my energy and intuition with their structure.
I was approaching everything from a place of “shoulds” and “have to’s”, trying to make my content fit into someone else’s vision of what it should look like. I kept looking outside myself for the answers when, all along, the missing piece was hidden within.
Trusting your inner wisdom doesn’t always come easily at first. For many of us, the journey begins by seeking guidance from experts who can offer direction. And that’s okay. Sometimes we need someone to help us uncover what’s already inside. It’s like being given the right tools to build something uniquely yours, tools that align your energy with the content you’re creating while keeping your authenticity intact.
When I started trusting that my path would unfold naturally, everything shifted. I realised that content creation wasn’t about following a rigid formula. It was about allowing creativity to lead the way. The very first people to go viral or gain traction online didn’t have a rulebook to follow. They simply trusted their inner knowing, even if they happened to crack the algorithm along the way.
My turning point came when I worked with a spiritual entrepreneur client. Through my own meditation practices, I received guidance on how to shape their content, what messages to emphasise and which angles to take. Integrating that intuitive wisdom with their social media strategy changed everything.
Their presence grew rapidly, reaching millions. Engagement soared and their content resonated deeply with their audience. This led to a significant increase in sales.
This approach didn’t just transform my client’s social media; it transformed how I created my own content. I began to trust my intuition, letting it guide my posts while grounding them in a strategy that worked for me. The results were incredible. My content felt aligned, authentic and deeply connected to my true self because it came from my higher self.
So, how can you start blending intuition and strategy to create content that resonates with your audience and stays true to your values? Here are some simple, actionable steps you can take today.
Check in with yourself: Before you start creating, pause and ask, “What do I really want to share?” This keeps you grounded in your truth and ensures your content aligns with your heart and mission.
Trust your intuition: Let your intuition guide the message. Listen to your inner voice and the subtle guidance it offers. Trust that what feels right is worth sharing, even if it doesn’t follow the trends.
Use strategy to shape the message: Once you have your intuitive message, apply a strategy that works for you. Use a content calendar, plan themes or structure your posts to encourage engagement. Let strategy support your flow rather than control it.
Embrace the long game: Social media is about building relationships, trust and genuine connection. Algorithms matter, but they’re not the whole story. When you show up authentically, you attract the people who are meant to find you. Stay consistent, stay true to your essence and let social media be the bridge that connects you to those who need your work.
Test and reflect: After sharing, take a moment to reflect. Does your content feel good to you? Does it resonate with your audience? Notice what feels aligned and what doesn’t.
Your social media content should reflect who you truly are. It’s not about following a strict formula or copying others; it’s about discovering what works for you.
Start by listening to your intuition. Let it guide your content and your message. Then, use strategy to keep you consistent and aligned with your goals.
Trust yourself and tune out the noise of what others say you should do. When you align with your true self and pair that with thoughtful strategy, the results will speak for themselves. It’s about authenticity, trust and building real connections with your audience.
P.S. Have you ever felt disconnected from your content?
Before your next post, pause and check in with yourself. What message wants to come through today? You might be surprised by how that small shift changes your flow.
